Lady of the forest lake collection

Lady of the Forest Lake Collection

Lady of the Forest Lake collection is the first one I’ve made for a long time. I usually try to group my jewelry in more or less precise themes, but I don’t give it too much attention. I make what I feel and my feelings are chaotic. But I do like order sometimes and it seems something worth aspiring to. More precise ideas and messages which jewelry could transfer seem to me more direct and clear.

So I’ve made a collection where the main feature was mossy agate and dark green color. Lade of the Forest Lake Collection is all about dark shades of green. This hue which only forest lakes have. Deep, a little bit mysterious but not obvious. Color of the lakes which are Hidden from the eyes of those who do not dare to go deep enough into the woods.
I can imagine that Lady of the Forest Lake is strongly linked to nature and its secrets. She is curious, patient, and strong enough to overcome moments of fear and hesitations. Wise enough to know that those doubts come and go.

I truly wonder if someone will see in these jewelry the same ideas and feelings or give them a different one. I guess both options would suit me just fine 🙂

Soft spot for beautiful books

beautiful books

I have a soft spot for beautiful books. But if I buy one, I always want to read it, not only put it on the bookshelf.  While I browse Instagram I often see accounts with tone of books and I always wonder if they really read them all, and if yes, how they could find time for it… But anyhow, beside reading, I started recently to use them as well in my jewelry photos. Mainly as a background, but I couldn’t resist taking few extra photos while preparing for my last photoshoot.. As you can see I wasn’t the only one who appreciated them 😉

rereading Killing Commendatore by Murakami

Since I’m rereading Killing Commendatore by Murakami, I decided to share some random thoughts on the topic with you. Who knows, maybe there are some fans of this Japanese author out there?

So I have to confess that I am mesmerized by Murakami and his reappearing universal story which lurks from some of his novels. I always look for THAT tale in his works, although it is hard for me to describe it precisely. There are themes, motives and symbols. Someone is looking for something or someone. It is for me at least unprecise, but I know it is there. So I read his works with similar attention to the hero of Killing Commendatore who stared and the theme picture. Admiring, looking for something, or just trying to understand?

I came back to Killing Commendatore because it seems like a right time for it. I read it first time around two years ago, and I even remember reading it on my comfy sofa, discovering the mysterious world that Murakami decided to present us this time. In a dim light of reading lamp, while night was slowly taking over the sky. And I had this feeling that he wanted to show us that time should be on our side. Not the other way around. But after some time, I lost this certainty that he was and stil is quite right. I just wander if rereading Killing Commendatore by Murakami will help me gain it again.

Amethyst Necklace in few steps

I called this blog post  Amethyst Necklace in few steps but as you can imagine there were more of them than just a few. If you ever wondered how I create my jewelry, here is some insight. I’ve decided to make few shots of the necklace while I was creating it. It is definitely not a tutorial, but just a few photos to show you how I create my jewelry. Usually, there is no drawn design of stuff like that.  I chose the stones, then shape the wires. and then add layers of swirls. Well, I hope you enjoy this little post and if you are interested you can find the ready piece in my shop 🙂

Golden palette of colors

I spend these days wandering around nearby lakes and enjoying this palette of golden colors. Winter seems this year less white, and more in colors of earth.

I don’t have much time to create due to my day job but I do what I can. Copper reminds me much of this winter’s hues but I like to play and add some splashes of colors where I can. Sometimes it’s a calm pastel tone, sometimes it is vivid pink. I think that colors are important, they give our lives a little spice. And I just wish there were less grayness. Thinking about it now, there is lots of it in people and around them, but not that much in nature…
